Call Widget

An embeddable UI component (button or floating bar) on a website that allows visitors to request an instant or scheduled callback without filling out a form. Call widgets streamline the lead capture process.

What is Call Widget?

A call widget is a simple, low-friction lead capture tool: a button or floating bar on your website that says 'Click to Get a Free Quote' or 'Talk to an Agent Now.' When clicked, it initiates a call to the visitor's phone number.

Call widgets come in two flavors:

**Instant callback**: Visitor clicks the button, enters their phone number, and the platform immediately dials them. A representative answers on their end (or automated IVR), and the visitor is connected. Total time: <30 seconds from click to call.

**Scheduled callback**: Visitor clicks, enters their number and preferred time, and the platform calls at the requested time. Useful for visitors who can't talk now but will be available at 3pm.

Call widgets are highly effective because they remove friction: - No form to fill out (just click). - No waiting for a 'we'll call you' promise; the call comes immediately. - Natural phone interaction (voice is higher bandwidth than chat). - Higher conversion than forms: typically 3-5x more leads per visitor.

CallMatrix's call widget includes:

**Customizable appearance**: Brand colors, button text, position (bottom-right corner, sticky bar, etc.).

**Time-based routing**: Show the widget only during business hours; hide it at night.

**Geographic targeting**: Show different numbers to different regions (via DNI).

**IVR integration**: When the visitor calls, route through your campaign's IVR.

**Compliance**: TCPA consent capture (checkbox: 'I agree to be called'), caller ID display, opt-out tracking.

Call widgets are most effective for service verticals with immediate availability (customer support, sales) and less effective for appointment-based services (medical, dental) where scheduling tools are better.

TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act)

A US federal law that regulates telemarketing, auto-dialed calls, SMS messaging, and fax advertising. The TCPA requires prior written consent for telemarketing calls, prohibits certain calling practices, and allows consumers to opt out.

Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI)

A call-tracking technique that displays a unique phone number to each website visitor instead of a static number. When the visitor calls that number, the platform attributes the call to the exact campaign, keyword, ad, and session that drove it.
